Don't Let the Door hit you in the Butt on the way out!

The extent of the disdain for the Bush Administration is hard to overestimate. According to polls over 75% of Americans are glad he’s going and they don’t want to hear from him in the future either. The amount of the damage done to the United States by the policies and corruptive practices over the last eight years is astounding. Complicit with the Bush in-crowd is his Party, the Republican Party.

They have saved his derriere countless times by standing up for him, by blocking corrective legislation, and by propagandizing blame on anyone or anything not Bush or Republican. And yet it was the refusal of the Democratic Party that was voted into Congress in the majority in 2006 to change the direction of the Bush Administration that guaranteed two more unnecessary years of pain and suffering. And they’re the people who were elected to run the country for the good of America.

Pay-to-Play: Why the Fuss?

Government has become so adept at selling political favors that scholarly treatises have been written about a veritable science of “political extortion.” A case in point would be the book Money for Nothing: Politicians, Rent Extraction, and Political Extortion, by Fred S. McChesney (Harvard University Press, 1997). Much has been written about governments granting favors to businesses in return for “campaign contributions” or outright kickbacks, but McChesney focuses on an even more insidious phenomenon: politicians threatening to impose menacing costs on businesses or entire industries with regulation and taxation as “a form of political extortion or blackmail.” FULL ARTICLE

The End of the Republican Party?

The Arrogance of the Bush Administration, the unyielding support of the Republican Party for this morally bankrupt Administration, the absolute refusal of the Republican Party to make any effort to attend the needs of the people of America when it required a repudiation of some policy or desire of this failed Presidency, has led a strong rejection of a once Grand Old Party, once renowned for its moral and ethical base.  Today’s Republican Party is no longer relevant as a moral and ethical voice for the American people.  The Republican Party now owes its allegiance to special interests. Illinois Deserves Corrupt Government

We must not depend on electing individuals to public office to truly reform the system.  We have a corrupt two-party plutocracy.  It is time to stop believing the lies of both Democrats and Republicans.  We can keep putting many of them in prison, but all that happens is that more corrupt and dishonest politicians get elected.  Just as it has happened for the Illinois governorship.
