You mean America isn’t spreading freedom, bring hope to the world, and protecting it’s own citizens from evil brown people?
Zinn’s book is awesome. It’s a must for anyone interested in peace and freedom.
Not since Woodrow Wilson, has America been what the founding fathers wanted it to be…it’s called ” Progressive” to me it’s Progressive Fascism…but I’m a Lou Dobbs Independent Populist…what would i know ?

To really prove what you said just look at how history has changed about the Holocaust.
In the mid-forties I was much intrigued about the Nazi concentration camps. As a child I had visited the Japanese Concentration Camps in Arkansas. Don’t know why I went there, I just know that my Aunt and Uncle were in the Services and for some reason they went to Rowher and they took me along.
Anyway, when I first started to read about the loss of life in the Nazi Prison camps, the report was that 400,000 Jews had been executed. By the time of the Nuremberg Trials the Jewish League stated that 4,000,000 Jews could not be located. By the time Israel was established , it was reported that 4,000,000 had perished in those camps. In the late 60’s and into the 70’s the figure had grown to 6,000,000. Today that figure is reported at 12,000,000.
By the way, one of the first things I did when I read about the 400,000 was go look up the Jewish Population in Europe.
It was being reported at around 2,500,000 in the 1939 census.
Now it is reported that 12,000,000 of those 2,500,000 were executed and there were also survivors.
In comparison it was reported that Russia had 20,000,000 executed in those camps.
Steve I know this sounds anti-Jewish, but I’m just reporting what was being reported as I grew up. And it is in the context of how history changes. But remember, history is written by those who win.
