Just as my disappointment grew at the prospect of an unchanging foreign policy toward the Middle East, and a current absurd position escalating a no-win war in Afghanistan – or his unwillingness to help prosecute criminals in the past administration, starting with George W. Bush – this president’s economic prescription for the ongoing crisis is nothing short of an unfair repackaging of an infected, tired corporatism for a brainwashed people that to date have not been told the truth: that they have been living beyond their productive means for way too long. Important thing to remember is that the US economy more resembles socialism than it does capitalism, and this is not because of Obama – it’s been that way for a long, long time. Maybe after this crash is done we might consider trying freedom, rather than blaming it?
Funny thing here…the author forgot to say that just before Former president Bill Clinton got on his soap box…Lou Dobbs had been calling for the same thing…weeks before…hmmm…as a Populist…it makes me wonder what ” slick willy” is up to ? A slow week or month on the highly profitable speaking tour ?
I wrote Lou Dobbs a few times when he was professing to be the leading Populist – in thought. I’m not sure how much of a true populist he is though. I haven’t heard him claim to be a populist lately.
A lot of media and political types proclaim to be a lot of things – for the constitution, for example. Rarely do their actions ever stack up to their claims.
