I once wrote that Mercenary Corporations (Private Armies) are a threat to our freedoms. And they seem to be growing by leaps and bounds. Groups across the Nation are forming to stop this insane business and I would ask that you take the time to look at what is in our future if these Mercenary Corporations are not stopped. Scahill speaks of Blackwater and its move into the Intelligence business.

The problem with these Corporations is that they are in the business of making war. No war, no profits. This should scare everyone. And to add to the bottom line, many of the companies are branching out as this video illustrates to privatize the CIA. Now you really should become concerned.
Ann Weston of CAPA (Citizens Against Private Armies) is leading a protest against a Company named Procinctu. Procinctu means “Gird for Battle Prepare for War” They want to locate a facility in California on land zoned public use and the Riverside Board of Supervisors has given the OK even though all indications are Procinctu does not qualify for a public use permit. The CAPA organization sees Procinctu as nothing more than a Blackwater wanna-be delving into Privatization of Government functions, a behavior that truly threatens our Democracy. There is a rally taking place on Tuesday 17th of March at 8:30 in front of the Riverside County Administration Building, 4080 Lemon Street in Riverside, California. Another goal of Blackwater is the privatization of Federal Police everywhere and more utilization by Homeland Security. This was spoken by Erick Prince some time back .
I shudder to think what Privatized Intelligence gathering could lead to. You might recall that these Mercenaries answer to the Corporation – not the Government. That has been proven in Iraq, where their record is one of shoot first ask questions later.
Procinctu, mentioned in the last portion is a good example. They got their permit although in reality they didn’t meet any of the criterial for Public Use Land. Most of their instructors are from Blackwater ( at least as listed by Procinctu.) We can’t afford to let our Government be taken over by Mercenary Corporations. Their business is war and such, therefore they need war and such to retain their profit flow.
Even worse is the idea of “federal police” on its own. There is no need for such an organization, as it’s against the most base principles of what this country was founded on – policing is to be handled locally!
Right Frank, and since the Mercenary Organization Blackwater is a Paramilitary group I think it would be a violation of Posse Comitatus .
But since when did citizens have the respect of the Washington Mafia? If Obama continues the Bush destruction of citizens rights, and there are indications that he might, what would stop the placing of Paramilitaries in charge of policing the people?

Right, Frank. In the Third Reich, that was known as the Geheime Staats Polizei or Gestapo for short. Nowadays, “Thought Police” will do.
Before the time the FBI was created, the idea of a federal police force of ANY kind was considered to be “un-american” and the beginning of the end of the republic. They called such ideas “Caesarism”

Absolutely Josh. And the thing that bothers me most is the Corporate ownership of Mercenaries. The problem is that the profit stream exists only when military action is occurring or clandestine activities are about.
So for the Corporation to keep that profit flowing they must prepare the sales territory. They have absolutely no incentive to end any war or strife. Just the opposite is true.
We need to take back our Government and punish those who have been complicit in Mercenary activities.
The Procinctu group mentioned in the article is putting $25 Million into their facility. They will work with Special Forces and other ancillary tasks. These are things that should be left to our army.
Blackwater has an army right now that could overthrow most of the third world countries. And they are developing a remote controlled airplane like the Predator. Like the kind that bombs things in the middle east. How would you like those thing flying overhead, here in the United States, armed, with some yokel in North Carolina running the drone with a Joy Stick, looking on a TV screen, and selecting his targets?
Keep in mind Blackwater is a Corporation in the business of war and they would like to privitize the police in the U S. Any Corporation that spends money for equipment usually is planning on using that equipment.
