Money is the Trojan horse that government uses to infiltrate and infect organizations. Funding that, on the outset, is designed to strengthen and support, will bureaucratize and regulate in the end. It is sad to see charities now having reason to focus on lobbying, regulatory compliance and paper pushing to get and retain money taken by force, rather than beefing up private, voluntary fundraising activities. The problem today is that DC always wants to solve problems by increasing government, and taking away freedom, when it should be the other way around.
You never get freedom from your oppressors by asking for it from them. You have to take it for yourself!
Ferenc you are absolutely right. A liberty once taken, is a liberty that has to re-taken by force. It will never be returned freely. Ron Paul was my choice, but not the Republicans choice. Why? My guess is that he was too moral and ethical to fit in with the corruption that permeates that organization.
And to blend in what Eisenhower had to say about the War Industry, it seems like money is the cause of war. Yes that’s what I said. Money is the Holy Grail for these War Industry Corporations and in order for their to be a need for defense, there needs to be an enemy. Warning to citizens of America. You are looking more and more like the enemy of the money train. That is the War Industry.
If you don’t believe that then you don’t have to forget what Bush brought to our country. You never knew it in the first place. The old saying that “You can’t see the forrest for the trees” is alive and well in the Republican Core. A once great party sunk into the sewer of special interest. War profiteering.
Cliff, excellent input on this! Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
“Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”
–John Adams
Rep. Paul is and was correct. sadly even the likes of radio talk show pundints like Rush never bother to call on Con. Paul to get His side of the story…And here mr. Rush has said that he speaks for the repulicans that are on his side…All i see in Bothsides of congress are Clowns to the left…and Jokers to the right…and here we the people are stuck in the middle…getting the Big “RED” one..namely the “bird’ once again ! America had a golden opertunity to make a huge change when millions upon millions went to washington,dc to see History being made…yet if they loved america first instead of being selfish and thinking of themselves…as we all do…Those millios upon millions could have changed History, buy going from the Mall…to the halls of Congress & the senate…and demand that those who inhabit those elected offices stop the madness..but no…they wantedto do what they as individuals wanted…not what we,the people needed…sadly this is why unless there is some kind of catsrophic disaster to hit the whole nation…at one time…will america ever pull together politically…And we here who claim to love America just sit on our ” blessed assurances”…and flap our lips and jack our educated jaws…barking at the wind…for what ? going to the ballot box does help change some things…but voting and elcting the right people won’t help…why ? because of the way both the house and the senate do things…so until IF and when millions upon millions of people who had enough get together like the millions uopn millions did to see the new president take office show up and get in the faces of the senate 7 congressional leader ship and tell them “we’re mad as hell, and we the people aint taking it anymore”…nothing will ever change …sad aint it ?
I know plenty of people who are mad as hell. But these politicians just don’t seem to listen. How long should we keep screaming??
We need to keep screaming as some how we need to gather those millions who were to see the new president take office and go back surround the captial dome…and demand to be heard…but you know as well as i do Mr. Tran…what you see is what you get…Funny thing is the house and senate were very attentive in October wen many were running for re-election…but now…all we get is fear mongering part 2…and shoving the will of the congress & senate down our throuts and up our tail pipes…as they refuse to acknowledge the will of the majority…we, the people…which is the basic tenent of any nation that has embraced the democratic process…see nothing has changed…only the name on the door at the white house…makes one glad to be an independent american huh ?
