Waging war while talking peace is customary Israeli practice. On January 19, Haaretz headlined: “Israel declares unilateral cease-fire. The security cabinet last night authorized a unilateral cease-fire (to take effect) at 2AM (Sunday morning), ending three weeks of intense fighting.” FULL ARTICLE

This is the nature of blowback.
Well i can see mr. lendman’s attacks on Isreal are still going on…and while we who have concerns about the ” appearence’ of editorial anti semitism are still waiting for mr.lendman to respond to questions posed to him. Could it be that mr.lendman has no answers because he either has not bothered to even try, or really truely just doesn’t get it ? While i do love my republic dearly, and am all for “Freedom of Speech” but with the freedom does come respondsibility and accountability…so where is it ?
I again am not trying to slam mr.lendman or his right to have a say, but how about the otherside of the coin mr.lendman ? or is that asking too much, or beneath your talents and abilites / please will someone contact mr.lendman as my attempts have failed. Or am i and other voices here and the world who protest such one sided articles out of line, or just to small to be bothered with ? After all actions do speak louder than words right ?
Henderson, the view is quite clear from here. What do you seem to be missing? Trapping and starving an entire population, no matter what the reason, is always morally wrong.
It is evil for any country to punish millions for the actions of a few.
Oppose the actions of the state of israel and claims of anti-semitism fly. Do you even know what the term “semite” means?
If so, you wouldn’t be using it the way you are, as it makes you look ignorant.
Qualify, i really don’t care if i or anyone else loos IGNORANT…my pint is and remains that editorial racism is still racism…in any and all sahdes of grey anyone cares to paint it. All i asked was of Mr. lendman was to respond to what i asked for and about. I like many others do not agree with what Isreal has done and i have let my voice be known to the powers that be there as well..All i asked for and still have not recieved a responce from Mr.Lendman that he give the other side of the coin/argument…as in and when did if ever Egypt,Jordan, the members of the arab britherhood or leaders in the Arab nations (Iran,Iraq & saudi arabia) ever go to places and forums like the UN or the world court asking pleading out in the open supporting hamas, with proof that they in no way are send weapons of any kind but have repeatedly sent food medicines, and monies to help the people of gaza as it seems to me ( oh so ignorant as i am) that no proof has ever been offered…why ? the only thing Any member of the arab states has in “common” with those people of gaza is that they like hamas hate and want to wipe Isreal off the map. other than that, the peoples of the arab nations look at the peoples of gaza ( “palistinians” as a whole) are nothing more than throw away humanity like we in america had with the chevy vega…use it up and then toss it away…that is how i see & understand the conflict…so call me ignorant all you want, but unless you are willihg to back up mr. lenman…then i respectfully request that if you aint willing to go to gaza to live and die there …then sit down in Los Banos…and potificate there cause your educated take on what i was trying to get mr. lendman to repsond to, is on your degree of higher learning from charmin & angel soft university is next to you..Have a nice day…you did wake u today didn’t you ? The it is a good day to be an American isn’t it ? your comment raired 5 stars too…gee how nice…
I still see mr. lendman has yet to reply…kind of sad in a way, because i’d like to see what his take & understanding of why Eygpt is not as loving and as neigborly to their fellow arab neighbors…perhaps they know something about hamas &
etc…that say a mr. lendman, of anyone of us doesn’t ? Now that is worth investigating isn’t it ? so what but air is stopping you mr. lendman what ?
Steve, maybe you should just email him. Not all authors are looking for – or even available for – a public debate on issues, and I believe it’s their right as well. I know Stephen has his articles published on dozens of websites simultaneously, including here, so it could be that it’s nearly impossible to monitor comments on every website. I know he has a radio show every morning as well, maybe you could call in and discuss his article(s) there too?

I think that could be more productive.
Either way, looking forward to seeing more of your comments on some of the other posts here too.
