A Return to Constitutional Government

I went to the White House website to look it over, left the following message.

Mr. President, you have indicated a return to Constitutional Government. That must surely mean that such unconstitutional acts as the Patriot act, the MCA, the various spying on citizen acts will be repealed as they illegally set aside the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Posse Comitatus must be replaced so the military can no longer be used against us in the US. Habeas Corpus must be restored. As long as these illegal acts continue to hang over us, we will NOT have a Constitutional Government.

Let’s see if I ever get an answer.

I doubt you’ll get an answer just as much as I doubt any of this will change.  Great stuff though, short and to the point.

I’m still waiting.

I expect you’ll be getting an answer about as fast as Cindy Sheehan got her’s from Bush. She’s still waiting too. What do you know–all this change, and still nothing changes!

Well, I am seeing some changes. Obama is upping the “strike silently from the air” predator drone attacks ante, with the predictable increase in dead civilians and more supporters of anything anti-American.

I see that the CIA’s rendition program has been reaffirmed, with the codicil that they can’t leave them in one gulag too long. That should up the number of gulag to gulag rendition flights, but I don’t think the passengers get any air mile credit. (”After all, torture is sometimes necessary, but we don’t want to get carried away.”)

I see that nobody who fights for their own freedom gets any support from us, unless they do exactly as we (or Israel) tell them to. (No change there, just window dressing)

I see another 850 Billion going to the fat cats at our expense. (no surprises there, either)

I’d puke, but I can’t afford to waste the food.

Change is in the air!  Change in leadership, change in rhetoric, change in dress code at the white house.

Same old imperialist warmongering garbage.
