Here’s a thought: instead of swooning over recycled, substance-free political rhetoric, and thinking that having a minority tyrant is going to help things, how about if we each judge people according to the content of their character? It’s all about power. period. Larken, you said it best with this:
“You’ll suddenly find that he’s not against war, not against destroying civil liberties, not against fascism, and not against government controlling everyone and everything. In fact, the only thing about the current administration that Obama truly opposes is the fact that someone other than HIM is in power. This country will soon learn that the hard way. “
But we’re supposed to worship our new god. Ahem, I mean president. Aren’t we?
Larken. I have to agree that it’s all about power. OK now that I’ve agreed, other than judge a man by his character, what are we going to do about getting our Country back?
I think we have to begin to punish people and the Party. We can without spending a cent and without any more effort than selecting a candidate or a Party, punish a Party that has condoned corruption. A Party that has practiced immoral and unethical conduct. Sooner or later we can begin to get the individuals.
What I suggest is doing something that has the potential to bring the Government back to the people. It costs nothing to try it, and requires almost no energy output. One other thing, we need to be forming something to take the place of the banned Party.
Yours was a very good article.
Cliff I’d rather punish both parties. Neither of them have done anything to earn my votes!
