Israel is a serial aggressor. Its lawlessness can no longer be tolerated. Mass outrage and world pressure must build for a global campaign for boycott, divestment and sanctions until its human rights abuses stop, its war crimes are punished, its occupation and colonization end, Palestinian refugees have the right to return, and the people of Gaza and the West Bank achieve their long-denied self-determination rights in an internationally recognized sovereign state, free from Israeli oppression. Former Tony Blair adviser Matthew Taylor has an interesting article on the failure of political leadership.
Personally, I consider Tony Blair a war criminal – so his opinions on another war don’t hold much weight for me.
I thought Ron Paul had some great positions in his most recent article on the issue:

Hey Stephen, thanks for the information, timely, direct and to the point. But can i interject a thought or 2 please ?
1. What you have posted and written is sadly true, but what you wrote, how will that help we-the-people here in America or better equip us to make our elected officals listen to us instead of the lobbiests who throw more money at them, then how does what you said & wrote help the “average” here make an impact so that maybe just maybe our great grandchildren can have a better nation then we have now ?
2. How is what you wrote fit into the ” American Populist” train of thought, politically speaking ?
this is a populist site for the intent of getting America back on track politcally speaking right ?
Steve: Interesting comment, and some good questions too. What’s important to note is that every article on this site is not going to be giving you direct information on how to deal with your elected officials.
We realize that government, politics – and most of all, liberty – encompasses a broad range around the world. The hope in our editorial policy is that the content our authors provide will help each person reading get a better understanding of topics they find interesting and important. A better grasp of how the media – and governments – manipulate situations (especially war) is always valuable in my opinion.
As for your 2nd question – I think this fits quite well. Plank two of our Ten Planks is “Non-Aggression” – and although it’s not a direct action by the US government, it’s an important issue worldwide…..that’s heavily funded by the US government.

Michael, I thank you for your answer and i realize that even in a site or blog such as this, there are no easy answers for any or all topics posted, suggested and the like. With that said…And while i am NOT advocating we all become a Lou Dobbs type of “Independent Populist” but have the courage and faith in what do have here ( at this site) and else where to share,net work with others…to find a way for the “we the peoples” who feel that is all they have is one voice and one…and nothing else…grant you it is good to see and read what others have to say about world events and happening all over the world…yet I have not seen any of the mega regular writers or authors of the blogs…give offer anything that relates to making America a nation of laws that protects us our rights and way of life…other than that…yes this a nation and site of free speech..but with free speech comes respondsibilkities…does it not / So I have challenged a couple of the authors and sadly aside from you…for what ever eason they haven’t felt the need to respond…or maybe they didn’t thing that no one would ask them to “give account” of what they werote isn’t helping America return of begin on a pathway of Government of and by the peoples…and NOT the lobbiests…Again my thanks…have a great & safe week end
