You are Destroying America. Yes, You.

I’m referring to the screeching fear-addicts who have raped the United States so thoroughly that they should be drawn up on charges of treason. The cowards who, unlike their grandfathers and earlier ancestors, want a nanny state to coddle them, hug them, and ultimately contain them in a little crib with bars and monitors and cameras. These are the whining tantrum-throwers who live in such a fear-choked world that they will trade in America’s Constitution and Bill of Rights for far less than thirty pieces of silver. FULL ARTICLE

What are you all talking about? Fear, greed, the end of the United States…..you can’t blame it all on the liberals, democrats, republicans. We are in a mess and it’s been coming for a long time.  Let’s talk about Congress. Do you think maybe they helped this mess along the way.  Let’s talk about our Senators.  Do you think maybe they helped us along this journey?  I think so.  You can’t blame it all on George Bush, JR.  Come on folks!  The housing industry is a mess and rightfully so. They gave loans, no money down to buyers who shouldn’t have mortgages and really didn’t qualify.  Yes, some of those finance companies were predators, but it was greed on the part of the American people, buyers and lenders.

The stock market is dropping every day.  The economy is spiraling down.  Instead of calling each other names, how about you tell me your plan to set things right?  What would you do?  It’s not going to be easy and it’s going to be a long haul for everyone…..so hang on tight!  Let’s all try to find some patience, kindness and help each other through these trying times ahead.

What I fear…change is coming….I think that means the few pennies I will have left in my pocket when all is said and done.  PROVE ME WRONG, OH PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG…….It’s just getting started so let’s try to show courage, compassion, understanding, empathy and stop calling each other names.  Oh I did like the post about liberals who did start change in our country. That is the truth.  We are all just people, regardless of what party we belong to. So let’s work together and make it right and make it good.

I’m definitely looking forward to some change – the kind of change that occurs when an empire gets far too arrogant, and gets destroyed by its own currency.

It has happened before.  To the British.  Their pound sterling was in trouble.  But they found a way out.  They turned to dealing dope.  Got the Chinese to take opium for their tea instead of silver.

Of course the Warlords ( mush have inspired the Neo-Cons ) created a market for their dope.  Ruined the Country for generations.

Know how the Chinese got control of the problem?  They decided to punish drug dealers.  Had to execute a few thousand dealers until those left got the message.

We need to punish our Congressional criminals and especially those who chose corruption over the good of their fellow citizens.

Its my right.  You should have been listening to Hannity today or Rush yesterday.  They know who is the problem.  Are you ready?

Wasn’t Bush and Buddies, why it was Liberal Democrats all along and Obama most of all.  A twosome who can ignore the greatest increase in debt , no an increase in debt greater than the sum of all increases in the history of the United States, they can ignore who was in charge during that time and shift to those dasterdly Liberals and Obama.  Way they were going I could just envision the two of them -bug eyed, frothing at the mouth, sweaty palms, and you should have heard the hate in their voices.

Why were they so mad?  Because Obama and the Democrats are in.  And their nonesense is out!

We need to punish the criminals – you’ve got that right Cliff!   They need prison time, but how?

It won’t come from our elected congress nor will it come from Obama.  It can only come from the people.  But there is a way.

Wherever you live, start writing about your Senators and Elected Representatives.  Question their loyalty to the United States if they don’t come out and call for investigation and punishment if found guilty.  Start action pages, but above all keep writing about it -always calling for the investigations – and never fail to ask anyone who reads your article to vote against  the incumbent who want agree to investigate and punish.

And of course you can help end the Republican Party.  You don’t need anybody’s help all you have to do is join me and millions of others who say they will never vote for a Republican candidate again.

The Republican Party is in trouble and they know it.  We need to show them they have a valid reason to fear reprisal.

If enough of us do this and get rid of the GOP, it will have a profound effect on those that are in elected positions.  It will.  I promise.  Its up to you and me and all the others who want punishment.

Ok, say that everyone in congress that doesn’t work to indict Bush and Cheney gets voted out of office – and believe me, I find that to be a nearly impossible scenario – then what do we do, tell the next group the same thing?  If you don’t try to indict bush and cheney, and the previous congress who were their accomplices, then we’ll vote you out of office?

After 200 years of incumbents winning a vast majority of elections, what makes anyone think things can change with the system as it is now?

he is right. it will not be foreign enemies that destroy america, Americans will be the culprits. READ THE CONSTITUTION>WRITE TO YOUR SENATORS>BE INVOLVED>DO NOT SIT AT YOUR COMPUTER ALL NIGHT SAYING, SHIT, I WISH SOMEONE WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THIS CRAP> GET OUT THERE AND DO IT!

didnt mean to post essentially the same thing twice, thought it didnt go through the first time

Ryan, I’m right there with you. Not only do we have to educate ourselves, we also need to be active in our own lives – advocacy, education, and action as essential, and our goal here is to help empower people to do these.

Not sure if contacting government officials really makes a difference – especially after they passed last fall’s bailout with people calling in 100-1 against. But then again, without the calls in opposition, we wouldn’t be able to demonstrate so clearly how the government doesn’t truly represent us.

Looking forward to seeing your input on some other posts around here in the near future!

I posted this elsewhere, but think it fits here even better.

In Short, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Joseph Goebbels
29 October 1897 – 1 May 1945

“Naturally the common people don’t want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same for any country.”
Herman Goering to Gustave Gilbert at Nuremberg, 18 April, 1946

I read last night that the Obamanation says that the torturers cannot be tried for their crimes because they were “just following orders.”

Those who ordered the torture cannot be tried as they only ordered it. They did not physically participate in the torture.
Furthermore, the government will bear the expense of the defense of anybody actually indicted by a court! (In other words, our tax money will be used to defend those who make a mockery of the rule of law and contravene recognized human behavior if they are tried by We the People!)

It took sixty-four years, but Hitler finally won!

It’s really sad, but I think you’re right. Fascism, of a pretty nasty kind, really has won out in this country.  Criminals, when in government, just keep getting off scott-free.
